OPSC Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 118 Posts

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released Advertisement No. 06 of 2025-26 inviting online applications for the recruitment of Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) in Class-II (Group-B) of the Odisha Agriculture and Food Production Service. This is a permanent post under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment, Government of Odisha.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture [B.Sc. (Ag.)] or Horticulture [B.Sc. (Horticulture)] from any recognized University or Institution.

• Note: No other equivalent qualification is accepted.

2. Age Limit (As on 01.01.2025)

• Minimum Age: 21 Years

• Maximum Age: 42 Years

• (Candidate must be born not earlier than 2nd January 1983 and not later than 1st January 2004) .

Age Relaxation:

• 5 Years: SC, ST, SEBC, Women, and Ex-Servicemen.

• 10 Years: Persons with Disabilities (PwD) with 40% or more disability.

Salary / Scale of Pay

• Pay Scale: Level-10, Cell-1 of the Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017.

• Pre-revised Scale: PB-2 (Rs. 9,300 – 34,800/-) with Grade Pay of Rs. 4,600/-.

Selection Process

The selection will be made based on a competitive examination consisting of two stages:

1. Written Examination: 200 Marks (MCQ Pattern)

2. Personality Test (Interview): 25 Marks

Written Examination Pattern

The exam will be conducted tentatively on 19.02.2026 at Cuttack/Bhubaneswar.

Application Fee

• Fee Amount: Rs. 700/-.

• Exempted Categories: SC, ST, and PwD candidates of Odisha are exempted from paying the fee.

• Refund Policy: The fee will be refunded to candidates who actually appear in both papers of the Written Examination.
