UPSC NDA & NA Exam Notification 2026 – Apply Online for 394 Posts

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I), 2026 for a total of 394 vacancies (Male: 370, Female: 24). Eligible unmarried 12th pass/appearing candidates can apply online from 10/12/2025 to 30/12/2025 (6:00 PM) on the UPSC website.

Vacancy details

• Educational qualification

  • Army Wing: 12th Class pass of 10+2 pattern or equivalent.

  • Air Force, Navy & Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry): 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.​

  • 12th-appearing candidates can apply, but must pass 12th by 10/12/2026.

• Age & marital status

  • Only unmarried male/female candidates born between 01/07/2007 and 01/07/2010 (both dates inclusive) are eligible.

  • Marriage before or during training is not permitted and leads to disqualification and recovery of training cost.​

Application fee

• Payment: Debit/Credit card, UPI or Internet banking.

• Fee once paid is non‑refundable.​

Selection process

1. Written examination (UPSC) – 900 marks

• Paper I: Mathematics – 300 marks, 2.5 hours.

• Paper II: General Ability Test – 600 marks, 2.5 hours (English + GK).

• Objective type, negative marking of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer; bilingual (Hindi/English) except English part.​

2. SSB Interview – 900 marks

• Stage I: OIR test + PP&DT.

• Stage II: interview, group tests, psychology tests, conference (4–5 days).

• Air Force (Flying) candidates must also qualify CPSS.​

3. Medical examination and final merit

• Final merit based on total of written + SSB for each service, subject to medical fitness and eligibility; male and female merit lists are prepared separately.​

• Register and generate URN, fill Common Application Form, upload photo & live photo, select exam, fill preferences for Army/Navy/Air Force/Naval Academy.

• Pay fee (if applicable), submit form and keep application number & printout safe.

• Later download e‑Admit Card from UPSC site before exam date.
