KVS Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 2499 Principal, VP, PGT, TGT & Other Posts

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released a notification for Limited Departmental Examination / Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDE/LDCE) 2025 to fill 2499 promotional vacancies of Principal, Vice-Principal, PGT, TGT, Head Master and various Non‑Teaching posts from among existing KVS employees. Online application link is active from 12.12.2025 to 26.12.2025 on the KVS portal.

KVS Recruitment 2025 Overview

• Internal promotional exam only – applicant must be an eligible serving KVS employee in the relevant feeder cadre with required regular service (e.g. PRT → TGT/Head Master, TGT → PGT, ASO → SO, etc.)​

• Teaching posts (PGT/TGT/Head Master):

  • Four‑year integrated degree OR Graduation/PG with minimum 50% marks in concerned subject + B.Ed / integrated B.Ed‑M.Ed / B.Ed (Special Education) as per post.​

  • Required minimum regular service:

    • PGT: from TGTs with at least 3 years regular service.

    • TGTs & Head Master: from PRTs with at least 5 years regular service.​

  • CTET:

    • CTET Paper‑II mandatory for TGT posts.

    • CTET Paper‑I mandatory for Head Master (from PRT).​

• Non‑teaching posts (Head Master, FO, SO, ASO, SSA, JSA): service length and qualification strictly as per internal rules (RPP/KVS guidelines) given in notification.​

• Cut‑off date for age, service length and qualifications: 01.01.2026.​

Age limit & reservation

• Age limit varies by post; relaxations for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD and internal candidates as per Government/KVS rules.​

• Reservation for PwBD is ensured as per RPwD Act, 2016.​

Selection process (LDE/LDCE)

• Exam centres: cities of KVS Regional Offices.​

• Two tiers:

1. Tier‑I: Subject Knowledge Exam

   • Mode: Pen–paper/OMR.

   • Marks: 40 marks, duration 2.5 hours.

2. Tier‑II: Personal Interview / Screening Test

   • Marks: 60 marks.

• Qualifying marks (each tier):

  • GEN/OBC/EWS: 35%

  • SC/ST/PwBD: 33%​

• For some posts (e.g. Finance Officer, Section Officer, ASO, SSA, JSA) final selection may be based mainly on written marks as specified; interview not for all posts​

• Final merit list based on written + interview/screening (where applicable) out of 100 marks and seniority‑cum‑qualifying basis as per post​

How to apply (internal KVS staff)

• Application is online only through KVS portal; no direct external application.

• Process:

  • Controlling Officer registers eligible employees on portal and generates application link.

  • Employee logs in using employee code, fills online form, uploads documents (photo, signature, qualifications, service certificates, caste/PwBD etc.).

  • Submit online form by 26.12.2025.

  • Take printout and get it verified & signed by Controlling Officer by 09.01.2026.​

• Only one post can be applied for, even if eligible for multiple posts.​
