OSSC Combined Post Graduate Level Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the following minimum educational qualifications :

  • Teacher Educator (Foundation Course): Post-Graduation Degree in Education/Philosophy/Sociology/Psychology (min 50% marks) AND B.El.Ed/B.Ed/D.El.Ed (50% marks) OR M.Phil/Ph.D in Education .

  • Teacher Educator (Science/Arts Subjects): Post-Graduate Degree in the relevant subject (Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Economics, Pol. Science, Math, Odia, English) with minimum 50% marks AND M.Ed. with minimum 50% marks .

  • Physical Education Instructor: Master Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed) with minimum 50% marks .

  • Art Education Instructor: Master Degree in Fine Arts (Visual Arts) OR Performing Arts (Music/Dance/Theatre) with minimum 50% marks .

2. Age Limit (As on 01.01.2025)

  • Minimum Age: 21 Years

  • Maximum Age: 42 Years

  • Relaxation:

    • 5 Years for SEBC, SC, ST, and all Women candidates .

    • 10 Years for PwD candidates .

    • Ex-Servicemen are eligible for relaxation based on service period .

3. General Eligibility

  • Must be a citizen of India .

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak Odia fluently .

  • Must have passed Middle School Exam with Odia as a language subject, or HSC with Odia as medium, or passed a test in Odia in M.E. School standard

Application Fee

  • UR / SEBC: Rs. 500/- .

  • SC / ST / PwD: Exempted .

  • Refund: The examination fee will be refunded to candidates who actually appear for the recruitment examination .

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of three stages :

  1. Stage I: Preliminary Examination (150 Marks)

    • Subjects: Odia, English, Arithmetic, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, General Studies, Current Events, Computer Awareness .

    • Approximately 6 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the Main Exam .

  2. Stage II: Main Written Examination (200 Marks)

    • Consists of Technical paper(s) specific to the post .

    • Questions may be in OMR or CBRE mode .

    • Negative Marking: There is a penalty of $1/4^{th}$ of the marks for wrong answers (if 4 options) .

  3. Stage III: Certificate Verification

    • Candidates numbering 2 times the vacancies will be shortlisted based on Main Exam marks .

  3. New users must register by clicking “NEW USER” to generate a User ID and Password .

  4. Fill in the application form with correct details regarding age, qualification, and category .

  5. Upload recent color photograph (20kb-100kb) and full specimen signature (up to 20kb) .

  6. Pay the examination fee online (if applicable) .

  7. Submit the application and take a printout for future reference .

Note: No physical hard copy needs to be submitted to the Commission .
