Bank of Baroda LBO Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 2,482 Local Bank Officer Posts
Bank of Baroda (BOB) has officially released a recruitment notification (Advt No: BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/16) for the hiring of 2,482 Local Bank Officers (LBO) in Junior Management Grade/Scale-I (JMG/S-I). This recruitment drive aims to fill regular vacancies across 20 states in India.
Eligible candidates with a graduate degree and a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification officer experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank can register online through the official website.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
- Preferred Certifications: IC 38, NISM Series V-A (Mutual Funds), NISM XXI-A (PMS Distributors), or NISM XIII (Common Derivatives).
2. Work Experience
- Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank (listed under the 2nd Schedule of the RBI).
3. Local Language Proficiency
- Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language of the state they choose to apply for.
4. Age Limit (as on 01/08/2026)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
Upper Age Relaxation:
- SC / ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD Candidates: 10 to 15 years (depending on category)
- Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
Salary & Compensation Scale
Selected candidates will be placed in JMG/S-I pay scale:
- Pay Scale: ₹48,480 – 2000/7 – 62,480 – 2340/2 – 67,160 – 2680/7 – ₹85,920
- Increments: One advance increment will be provided to candidates having 1 or more years of officer work experience.
- Allowances: DA, HRA, CCA, Special Allowance, medical benefits, and perquisites as per bank norms.
Selection Process
The selection procedure comprises the following stages:
1.Online Written Test:120 Questions | 120 Minutes.
- English Language: 30 Questions (30 Marks) — Qualifying only
- Banking Knowledge: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
- General/Economic Awareness: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
- Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
2.Language Proficiency Test (LPT):Mandatory unless exempted.
Conducted for state-wise local language evaluation unless the candidate has studied the local language in 10th or 12th standard.
3.Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI):Final Evaluation.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for GD and/or PI (Minimum qualifying mark: 60% for General, 55% for Reserved categories).
4.Psychometric Test & Document Verification:Final Merit List.
Assesses behavioral traits, followed by document validation and biometric/Aadhaar verification.
