RRC North Western Railway Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 2,008 Act Apprentice Posts
The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Jaipur and North Western Railway (NWR) have officially released Notice No. 04/2026 (NWR/AA) inviting online applications for the engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
A total of 2,008 training slots are available across various trades in 8 different workshops/units under the NWR jurisdiction (Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur, and Jodhpur divisions). Eligible candidates holding a Class 10 pass with ITI certificate can submit their applications online starting October 7, 2026.

- Eligible Trades: Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Carpenter, Painter, Mason, Pipe Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Turner/Machinist, Electronics Mechanic, COPA, RAC, and Machine Tool Maintenance.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational & Technical Qualification
- Class 10th / Matriculation: Passed 10th standard under the 10+2 system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
- Technical Qualification: Must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade issued by NCVT or SCVT.
- Note: Candidates awaiting final exam results are not eligible to apply.
2. Age Limit (as on 06-11-2026)
- Minimum Age: 15 years completed
- Maximum Age: 24 years (uncompleted)
- Age Relaxation:
- SC / ST Candidates: Upper age relaxation of 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: Upper age relaxation of 3 years
- PwBD Candidates: Upper age relaxation of 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government guidelines (up to 10 years additional relaxation)
Selection Process
Selection for NWR Act Apprentice training is strictly based on a Merit List prepared without any written test or interview.
- Merit Formula: Calculated as the simple average of percentage marks obtained in:
- Matriculation (10th): Minimum 50% aggregate.
- ITI Trade Examination: Percentage in the relevant trade certificate.
- Tie-Breaking Rule: In case of equal marks, the older candidate is given preference. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed the 10th exam earlier will be preferred.
- Document Verification & Medical Test: Shortlisted candidates will undergo original document verification and a standard medical exam signed by a Government Gazetted Doctor.

- Scanned signature (20 KB – 30 KB, JPG format).
- Pay the application fee (if applicable) and review your submission.
- Submit the application form and download a printed copy for future reference.
