Indian Army TGC 145 Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 30 Permanent Commission Posts
The Indian Army (Directorate General of Recruiting, Integrated HQ of MoD) has officially released the recruitment notification for the 145th Technical Graduate Course (TGC-145) commencing in July 2027 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun.
Online applications are invited from eligible unmarried male Engineering Graduates across various core streams to join as officers for a Permanent Commission in the Indian Army.
A total of 30 tentative vacancies are distributed across six core engineering categories:

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a B.E. / B.Tech degree or an M.Sc in Computer Science in a notified engineering stream from a recognized Indian University or Institution.
Final Year Candidates: Candidates currently in the final year of their engineering degree are also eligible to apply, provided they pass all examinations and can submit proof of passing by July 01, 2027.
Note: Candidates with foreign engineering degrees are not eligible.
2. Nationality & Marital Status
Gender/Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
Nationality: Citizen of India, subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin (PIO) migrated from specified nations intending to permanently settle in India.
3. Age Limit (As of July 01, 2027)
Age Bracket:20 to 27 years
Candidates must have been born between July 02, 2000, and June 30, 2007 (both dates inclusive).
Physical Standards (Prerequisites Before Joining IMA)
Candidates recommended by the SSB are expected to meet the following basic physical conditioning targets prior to training:

Selection Process
Shortlisting of Applications: Applications are shortlisted based on the cut-off cumulative percentage of marks scored up to the 6th semester / 3rd year (or final year) of the degree program for each stream.
SSB Interview (Stage I & II): Shortlisted candidates choose their SSB date and center (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar) on a first-come, first-served basis. The 5-day SSB consists of Stage-I testing followed by Stage-II evaluation.
Medical Examination: Recommended candidates undergo comprehensive medical tests by a Board of Service Medical Officers.
Final Merit List & Joining: Joining instructions for IMA Dehradun are issued based on final merit performance, topic vacancy availability, and medical fitness.
