Vacancy Break-Up & Sector Distribution
The total 3,047 apprentice seats are distributed across 24 work centres grouped under six sectors:
- Western Sector (1,166 Posts):Includes Ahmedabad, Ankleshwar, Cambay, Mehsana, Vadodara.
- Eastern Sector (674 Posts):Includes Jorhat, Nazira & Sivasagar, Silchar.
- Southern Sector (269 Posts): Includes Chennai, Kakinada, Karaikal, Rajahmundry.
- Central Sector (267 Posts): Includes Agartala, Bokaro, Kolkata.
- Northern & Mumbai Sectors:Distributed across respective operational work centres.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
- Trade Apprentice:Class 10th Pass / Class 12th Pass / ITI in relevant trade.
- Diploma Apprentice:3-year Engineering Diploma in the relevant discipline.
- Graduate Apprentice: B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., BBA, B.E., or B.Tech. degree from a recognized university.
Note: The prescribed qualification must not be older than 3 years as of November 29, 2026. Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Act are not eligible.
2. Age Limit (as on 29.11.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years (Born between 29/11/2002 and 29/11/2008)
- Age Relaxation: Standard upper age relaxations apply for SC/ST (5 years), OBC-NCL (3 years), and PwBD candidates as per Government of India rules.
Monthly Stipend
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly stipend structured according to their qualifications:
- Trade Apprentice (10th / 12th Pass):₹8,200 per month
- Trade Apprentice (1-Year ITI): ₹9,600 per month
- Trade Apprentice (2-Year ITI): ₹10,560 per month
- Diploma Apprentice (3-Year Diploma): ₹10,900 per month
- Graduate Apprentice (B.A / B.Com / B.Sc / BBA / B.E / B.Tech): ₹12,300 per month
Selection Process
- Merit Listing:Candidates are shortlisted strictly based on the percentage of marks obtained in their qualifying examination.There is no written examination or interview.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for physical document verification at their chosen work centre.
