- It was founded in 1977 by Deepak Parekh and has since grown to become one of the most respected financial institutions in India.
- In 2023, HDFC announced that it would merge with HDFC Bank, India’s largest private sector bank by market capitalization.
- The merger is expected to be completed in 2024. The merged entity will be the largest bank in India by assets and market capitalization.

- The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has approved the revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan for implementation from 2022-23 to 2025-26.

- The car is 100 percent electric and can be driven on public roads.
