RRC WR Sports Quota Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 64 Group ‘C’ & Level 1 Posts
The Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway (RRC/WR), Mumbai, has published Employment Notice No. RRC/WR/01/2026 (Sports Quota) inviting online applications from eligible, active sportspersons for recruitment against 64 vacancies under the Sports Quota for the year 2026–27.
Selections are open for various Group ‘C’ (Level 5/4 and Level 3/2) and Level 1 (erstwhile Group ‘D’) posts across multiple sports disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications (as on application closing date)
- Level 5/4: Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
- Level 3/2: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent OR Matriculation plus ITI/Act Apprenticeship approved by NCVT/SCVT.
- Level 1: Passed 10th Standard OR ITI OR equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Note: Candidates awaiting final examination results are not eligible to apply.
2. Age Limit (as on 01 January 2027)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 25 Years
- Eligible Birth Range: Born between 01-01-2002 and 01-01-2009 (both days inclusive).
- Age Relaxation: No upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates under Sports Quota recruitment.
3. Sports Eligibility Norms
Only active sportspersons who achieved minimum performance standards between 01-04-2024 and 27-08-2026 are eligible:
- Level 5/4: Represented India in Olympics (Senior) OR secured at least 3rd position in World Cup / World Championships / Asian Games / Commonwealth Games / Youth Olympics / Champions Trophy / Thomas & Uber Cup.
- Level 3/2: Represented India in World Cup/Asian Games/Commonwealth Games OR secured at least 3rd position in Asian Championship, Commonwealth Championship, SAF Games, USIC Championship, World University Games, or Senior/Junior National Championships / National Games / All India Inter-University Championship.
- Level 1: Represented in Commonwealth Championship / Asian Championship / SAF Games / World University Games OR secured at least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior) OR represented a State in Senior National Championships with at least 8th position.
Selection Process & Marking Scheme
Selection is conducted via a Sports Trial followed by assessment of sports achievements and qualifications:
Stage 1: Selection Trial (40 Marks)
- Game Skill, Physical Fitness & Coach’s Observations: Max 40 Marks.
- Candidates securing 25 marks or more are declared FIT for further evaluation.
Stage 2: Assessment of Records (60 Marks)
- Recognized Sports Achievements: 50 Marks
- Educational Qualification: 10 Marks
- Total: 100 Marks

- Upload scanned copies of photograph, signature, age proof, educational mark sheets, community certificate (if applicable), and sports achievement certificates.
- Pay the processing fee online and submit the application before 30 September 2026 (18:00 Hrs).
