Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Degree: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) or an equivalent degree from a recognized University/Institution in India or abroad.
- Foreign Degrees: Conversion certificates recognized by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) are mandatory for degrees obtained abroad.
- Veterinary Council Registration: Must hold a valid Registration Certificate under the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970 (Section 21) on or before the last date of application submission.
2. Language Requirement (Odia Proficiency)
Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write Odia and must have passed:
- M.E. School (or higher) with Odia as a language subject, OR
- Matriculation with Odia as the medium of examination, OR
- Final Class VII exam with Odia from a recognized school, OR
- A language test in Odia conducted by the School & Mass Education Department, Odisha.
3. Age Limit (As on 01.01.2026)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 47 years (Candidate born between 02.01.1979 and 01.01.2005)
- Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PwD candidates belonging to SEBC/SC/ST categories.
Salary & Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be placed under Pay Level 12 (Cell-1) with a basic pay of Rs. 56,100/- as per Rule-3 of the ORSP Rules, 2017, along with usual Dearness Allowance (DA) and other applicable allowances sanctioned by the Government of Odisha.

- SC / ST / PwD Candidates: Exempted from paying the examination fee.
- SEBC & Other Applicable Candidates:Rs. 700/-
- Fee Refund: The examination fee is refundable to those candidates who actually appear for the written examination. It will be credited back to the original payment mode or the bank account details provided in the online application.

Selection is based on a Written Examination (Objective MCQs) followed by Document Verification.
