Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- AEE (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institution or Associate Membership (AMIE) in Civil Engineering from the Institution of Engineers (India). Candidates must also hold a valid GATE score in Civil Engineering (GATE 2024, 2025, or 2026).
- AEE (Mechanical): Degree in Mechanical Engineering or AMIE in Mechanical, along with a valid GATE score in Mechanical Engineering (GATE 2024, 2025, or 2026).
2. Age Limit (As on 1 January 2026)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 42 Years (born between 2 January 1984 and 1 January 2005).
- Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories (SC, ST, SEBC, Women, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen) as per Odisha Government guidelines.
3. Language Proficiency
Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak Odia and must have passed the Middle School examination or Matriculation with Odia as a language subject.
Selection Process
The selection process for OPSC AEE Recruitment 2026 is completely exam-free and relies upon:
- Valid GATE Score (90% Weightage): Shortlisting for the interview stage is typically done at roughly twice the number of advertised vacancies per category based strictly on GATE marks.
- Interview (10% Weightage): Final merit lists are generated combining the GATE performance and interview scores.
