Eligibility Criteria

Educational & Technical Qualifications

  • General Requirement: 10th Class / Matriculation pass under the 10+2 system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board (as of 21.08.2026).
  • Technical Qualification: National Trade Certificate (NTC) / ITI Certificate in the relevant trade affiliated with NCVT/SCVT.
  • Special Cases:
    • Laboratory Technician (Pathology): 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (minimum 50% in both 10th and 12th).
    • COPA: Board-based basic training in the IT sector (Centre of Excellence scheme) with an NTC certificate.
  • Ineligibility: Awaiting final results, ITI failures, or candidates holding Engineering Diplomas or Degrees are not eligible for this scheme.

Age Limit (As of 15.09.2026)

  • General Age Limit: 15 to 24 years.
  • Upper Age Relaxations:
    • SC / ST: 5 years (up to 29 years)
    • OBC: 3 years (up to 27 years)
    • PwBD: 10 years (up to 34 years)
    • Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Defence service period + 3 years (plus up to 10 additional years based on specific provisions).

Selection Process & Stipend

  • No Written Test or Interview: Selection is based purely on a merit list calculated from the aggregate percentage obtained in Matriculation (10th standard).
  • Tie-Breaking Rules: In case of tied marks, the older candidate is prioritized. If DOB is also identical, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier is preferred.
  • Stipend: Monthly stipend is paid as per current Apprenticeship Act rules and Railway Board directives. Hostel facility is not provided; candidates must arrange their own accommodation during training.

1.Portal Registration:Visit rrcbbs.org.in.

Go to the official RRC Bhubaneswar site (rrcbbs.org.in) and complete basic registration with your email ID and mobile number.

2.Fill Out Application Details:

Enter personal details, Matriculation marks, ITI trade specifications, and Aadhaar number. Select your preferred Division/Workshop (Note: You can only select ONE division).

3.Upload Required Documents:

Upload scanned copies of photograph (20–70 KB), signature (20–30 KB), 10th & ITI mark sheets/certificates, and community/caste certificate (if applicable).

4.Pay Application Fee:

Pay the non-refundable fee of ₹100 via online payment gateway (Unreserved/OBC/EWS males). SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates can skip to submission.

5.Submit and Print:

Review all details carefully before submitting. Download and print out a copy of the finalized application form for Document Verification.
