The High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL), Pune—a premier premier research and development establishment under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence—has published an official notification (HEMRL/HRD/APPRENTICE/2026-27/01) for the engagement of 50 Graduate Apprentices for a one-year apprenticeship training program.
Eligible candidates with Engineering, Science, Arts, Commerce, Business Administration, or Library Science qualifications can apply through the offline mode on or before August 28, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria & Key Terms
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
- Academic Criteria: Degree must be obtained from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates who passed their qualifying degree in 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible.
- Ineligibility: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training, or who have job experience of one year or more, are not eligible.
- Age Limit: As per the rules governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 and NATS guidelines.
Stipend & Benefits
- Monthly Stipend:₹15,000/- per month for all Graduate Apprentice categories.
- Accommodation & Transport: No accommodation/hostel facility will be provided by HEMRL during the apprenticeship period.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting: Based on the percentage of marks obtained in the essential qualifying degree examination.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to produce original educational certificates, caste certificates, NATS registration proof, and ID card verification.
- Final Joining: Execution of the Apprenticeship Contract through the NATS 2.0 portal.

1.Register on NATS 2.0 Portal:Mandatory first step before applying.
Visit the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in and register to obtain a valid 16-digit NATS Student Enrollment ID.
2.Download Application Form:
Visit the DRDO official website (drdo.gov.in) under the Careers/Vacancies section and download the application form for Advt No. HEMRL/HRD/APPRENTICE/2026-27/01.
3.Fill the Offline Application:
Fill in all the required personal details, academic credentials, discipline code, and your 16-digit NATS Registration Number clearly in block letters.
4.Attach Self-Attested Documents:
Attach self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, degree certificates, birth proof/10th certificate, caste/category certificate, Aadhar card, and NATS enrollment proof.
5.Dispatch via Speed Post / Registered Post:Must reach on or before August 28, 2026.
