The Office of the District Judge, Puri (Odisha) has published a recruitment notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for Group “C” posts. The vacancies include Junior Typist, Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist, and Salaried Amin in the Judgeship of Puri.

District Court Puri Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational & Technical Qualifications

  • Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist: Must have passed at least a +3 examination (Bachelor’s Degree) or equivalent. Must have a Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) from a recognized institute.
  • Junior Typist: Must have passed at least a +3 examination (Bachelor’s Degree) or equivalent, possess a DCA certificate, and have a minimum typewriting speed of 40 words per minute on a computer system.
  • Salaried Amin: Must have passed the Matriculation examination or equivalent. Must possess a Revenue Inspector Training certificate from a recognized institute.

2. Age Limit (As on 19.06.2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 42 Years
  • Age relaxations are applicable for women, SC, ST, SEBC, Ex-Servicemen, and PWD candidates as per government rules.

3. Other Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of India.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write Odia and have passed a test in Odia equivalent to the M.E. Standard.
  • Must have a good character and sound health.
  • Must have no criminal antecedent.

Application Fee

  • NIL: No fee is required to be paid by candidates of any category for this recruitment process.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a competitive examination consisting of multiple phases:

  1. Written Examination: * Clerk & Typist: English (100 marks). Clerks also have Arithmetic (100) and General Knowledge (100).
    • Salaried Amin: General English (50), Computer Written (50), Odia (50), Arithmetic (100), and General Knowledge (100).
  2. Type Writing Test: Only for Junior Typist (50 marks).
  3. Computer Science Test (Practical): Practical test for qualifying candidates.
  4. Viva-Voce Test: Final interview stage.

  1. Candidates must download and print the prescribed application form format attached to the official advertisement.
  2. Fill out the application form completely in your own handwriting.
  3. Attach all required self-attested documents, including:
    • Educational certificates and mark sheets (10th, +2, +3, DCA, RI Training, etc.)
    • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
    • Two original Character Certificates from Gazetted Officers/Medical Practitioners/Sarpanch
    • Two self-addressed envelopes affixed with postal stamps of Rs. 56/- each.
    • 4 recent passport-size photographs.
  4. The application envelope must be super-scribed in BLOCK LETTERS with the name of the post applied for (e.g., “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR CLERK-CUM-COPYIST”).
