AIIMS NORCET 11 Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 2,218 Nursing Officer Posts
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has officially released the recruitment notification for NORCET-11 (Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test 2026) under Notice No. 103/2026.
This nationwide examination is conducted to fill 2,218 tentative Nursing Officer (Group-B) posts across 27 participating AIIMS institutes and other affiliated central government medical institutions. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official examination portal from July 24, 2026, to August 13, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification & Experience
Candidates can qualify through either of the following routes:
- Route I:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing OR Post-Certificate / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or State Nursing Council.
- Registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State or Indian Nursing Council.
- Route II:
- Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized council/board.
- Registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State or Indian Nursing Council.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a 50-bedded hospital (acquired after completing the qualification and council registration).
Age Limit (As of August 13, 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
Age Relaxation
- SC / ST: 5 Years
- OBC: 3 Years
- PwBD: 10 Years
- Ex-Servicemen: Military service + 3 Years
- Central Govt. Civilian Employees (3+ yrs regular service): Up to 5–10 years depending on category.
Reservation Rule
As per the decision of the Central Institute Body (CIB), 80% of total seats are reserved for female candidates and 20% for male candidates across participating AIIMS institutes.
Pay Scale & Salary
- Pay Level: Level 07 in the Pay Matrix.
- Pay Scale: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800 with Grade Pay ₹4,600 (Pre-revised Pay Band-2).
- Additional central government allowances (HRA, DA, TA, Medical benefits) applicable based on the posting location.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection process comprises two computer-based tests (CBT):
Stage I: NORCET Preliminary (Qualifying Stage)
- Format: 100 MCQs (100 Marks) — 80 questions on Nursing subjects + 20 questions on General Knowledge & Aptitude.
- Duration: 90 Minutes.
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deducted per wrong answer.
- Purpose: Shortlisting candidates for Stage II (up to 5 times the number of vacancies in each category). Marks are not added to the final merit list.
Stage II: NORCET Mains (Merit Stage)
- Format: 160 case-scenario-based MCQs (160 Marks) focusing on practical clinical skills and nursing competency.
- Duration: 180 Minutes.
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deducted per wrong answer.
- Purpose: Final selection and merit ranking are calculated solely based on Stage II performance.
