Airports Authority of India (AAI), Regional Headquarters (Northern Region), has released an official notification (Advt No. 01/2026/APPRENTICE/GRADUATE/DIPLOMA/ITI/NR) inviting online applications for 205 Apprentice seats (Graduate, Diploma, and ITI Trade) for a 1-year Apprenticeship Training Program (2026–27).
Eligible candidates domiciled in the Northern Region can submit their online applications through the official NATS or NAPS portals. The last date to apply is September 16, 2026.

1. Post & Stipend Details
- Graduate Apprentices: 80 Seats — ₹15,000 / month(AAI Share: ₹8,850 + Govt DBT Share: ₹6,150)
- Diploma Apprentices: 65 Seats — ₹12,000 / month(AAI Share: ₹6,550 + Govt DBT Share: ₹5,450)
- ITI Trade Apprentices: 60 Seats — ₹9,600 / month(Fixed)

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Graduate Apprentice: Full-time (Regular) 4-year B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering stream or BCA / B.Com from an AICTE/Government recognized institute.
- Diploma Apprentice: Full-time (Regular) 3-year Diploma in Engineering in the notified disciplines from an AICTE/Government recognized institute.
- ITI Trade Apprentice: ITI / NCVT certificate in the notified trades (COPA / Computer Hardware & Networking) from a recognized institute.
- Year of Passing: Candidates must have passed their qualifying degree/diploma/ITI certificate in 2024 or later.
2. Age Limit (As of 16.09.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 26 Years
- Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates as per Government of India rules.
3. Domicile Requirement
Only Indian Nationals holding domicile of the following 12 States & Union Territories (Northern Region) are eligible to apply:
Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh, and Ladakh.
4. Ineligibility Conditions
- Candidates who passed their qualifying exam before 2024.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 elsewhere.
- Candidates with 1 year or more of work/job experience after obtaining the essential qualification.
Selection Process
There is no written examination or application fee for this recruitment process. The selection involves:
- Merit List Preparation: Shortlisting based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying degree, diploma, or ITI examination.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will receive an email notice for certificate verification at the establishment office.
- Interview & Medical Fitness: Verification of certificates, followed by the submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Government Medical Officer/Hospital.
- Final Contract: Issuance of engagement contract via NATS/NAPS portal.
Training Locations
Selected candidates will undergo training for 12 months at various airports and AAI operational units across the Northern Region, including:
- Major Airports & Centers: New Delhi (RHQ NR, Safdarjung), CATC Prayagraj, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Srinagar, Dehradun, Varanasi, Jammu, Leh, Agra, Gorakhpur, Gwalior, Kanpur, Udaipur, Shimla, Jodhpur, Khajuraho, and others.

1.Register on the Portal:
- Graduate & Diploma Applicants: Go to the NATS 2.0 Portal (nats.education.gov.in) and complete Student Registration using your Aadhaar e-KYC and APAAR ID.
- ITI Trade Applicants: Visit the NAPS Portal (apprenticeshipindia.org) and complete candidate profile registration.
2.Complete Candidate Profile:
Log in to your dashboard and fill out your personal details, educational qualifications, communication address, and bank/Aadhaar details. Upload necessary certificate copies (under 1 MB).
3.Search for AAI Establishment:
