Scale-wise Vacancy & Age Limit
1. Scale IV – Chief Manager (10 Vacancies)
- Age Limit: 28 to 40 years (Up to 42 years for specific IT/Security streams)
- Key Roles: Chief Manager (Full-Stack Engineering, Digital Platforms, Supply Chain & Trade Finance Tech, Digital Banking Operations, IT Procurement, Information Security, and IT CISA/CISM/CISSP).
2. Scale III – Senior Manager (49 Vacancies)
- Age Limit: 28 to 37 years (Up to 40 years for specific IT/Security streams)
- Key Roles: Senior Manager (Full-Stack Engineering, Digital Platforms, Finacle Application Support, Infrastructure Operations, Solution & Tech Architecture, Data Engineering, API Governance, DevSecOps, IT Procurement, Database Administration, Information Security, and IT CISA/CISM/CISSP).

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification & Experience (As of 01.08.2026)
- IT / Technology Posts (Scales I to IV):
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Communication OR MCA (3-year full-time) OR M.Sc. in CS/IT.
- Relevant post-qualification domain experience (1 year for Scale I, escalating up to 8+ years for Scale IV).
- Post-specific certifications (e.g., OCP Java, CISA/CISM/CISSP, AWS/Azure, PMP, CKA) are required/desirable as per Annexure-I of the official notice.
- Civil Engineer (Scale I):
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institution with relevant experience.
- Law Officer (Scale II):
- LLB degree from a recognized university along with enrolled practice/experience as an advocate or legal officer.
- Fire & Security Officer (Scale II):
- Degree in Fire/Safety Engineering or relevant military/paramilitary/police background as per standard bank norms.
Selection Process
The selection for Bank of India SO posts will generally consist of:
- Online Written Test: Covering Professional Knowledge related to the stream, General Awareness (Banking Focus), and English Language.
- Personal Interview (PI) / Group Discussion (GD): Candidates qualifying in the online exam will be called for interview stages.
