The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has released an official recruitment notification for the post of Radiographer for the year 2026. Eligibility Criteria : OSSSC Radiographer Recruitment 2026
Age Limit:
- Candidates must be between 21 and 42 years of age as of the date of the advertisement.
- An age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, SEBC, and Women categories.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) are eligible for a 10-year age relaxation.
- Contractual Radiographers under OSH&FW Society/Scheme can apply up to the age of 45 years.
Educational Qualifications:
- Candidates must have passed the +2 Science Examination under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, or an equivalent examination.
- Applicants must possess a Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology (DMRT) or a Bachelor in Medical Radiation Technology (BMRT) from a recognized government or private institution.
- Registration with the Radiographers Council in the State of Odisha is mandatory.
Language Requirement:
- Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write Odia.
- Applicants must have passed at least the Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject, or hold an equivalent Odia language qualification.
Examination Details and Application Fee
Application Fee:
- Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories are completely exempt from paying the examination fee.
- All other applicants must pay an examination fee of Rs. 500 through the online payment gateway.
- The fee of Rs. 500 will be refunded to applicants who actually appear for the examination.
Selection Process (Written Test):
- The written test carries 100 marks (MCQ type in OMR/CBRE Mode) and will be conducted over 2 hours.
- The paper includes questions on the DMRT syllabus (60 marks), practical skills (25 marks), High School Arithmetic (10 marks), and High School English (5 marks).
- A negative marking of 0.25 marks applies to every wrong answer.
- The minimum qualifying mark is 30% for ST, SC, PwDs, and Ex-Servicemen, and 35% for all other candidate categories.
How to Apply
- Eligible candidates must visit the OSSSC web portal at www.osssc.gov.in to register as a “New User” or re-register as a “Registered User”.
- After completing the registration process, candidates must fill out and submit the online application form before the final deadline of 30.09.2026.
- Applications submitted via any offline mode or paper format will be summarily rejected.
