ITBP Sports Quota Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 126 Constable (GD) Posts
The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has published an official recruitment notification inviting applications from eligible and meritorious Indian sportspersons (Male and Female) for the post of Constable (General Duty) under the Sports Quota 2025.
A total of 126 vacancies across 28 sports disciplines are available for Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial positions. Candidates can apply online through the official ITBP recruitment portal starting October 3, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Standard) or equivalent from a recognized board.
2. Age Limit (as on November 1, 2026)
- Base Age Limit: 18 to 23 years.
Age Relaxation:
- Unreserved / EWS / OBC: 5 years upper age relaxation.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 8 years relaxation (5 + 3).
- SC / ST: 10 years relaxation (5 + 5).
3. Sports Qualification
Candidates must have participated or won medal(s) in recognized International, National, Inter-University, or Youth Games events within the specified achievement window (01/01/2024 to 01/11/2026).

Chest Expansion (Male Only)
- General: 80 cm unexpanded (minimum 5 cm expansion required).
- ST Candidates: 76 cm unexpanded (minimum 5 cm expansion required).
Selection Process
The recruitment process does not include a written examination. Selection is made based on the following steps:
- Documentation: Verification of original certificates, educational credentials, and sports achievements.
- Physical Standard Test (PST): Measurement of height, weight, and chest.
- Sports Trial Test: Qualifying in nature (40 Marks total, minimum 20 Marks to pass). International representatives with proper government clearance are exempted.
- Merit List: Prepared strictly based on marks awarded for sports achievements.
- Medical Examination: Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME).

- SC / ST / Female Candidates: Exempted (Nil)

- Upload all required documents, including your highest sports achievement certificate, matriculation certificate, and category certificate.

- Submit the application form before November 1, 2026, by 11:59 PM and keep a printed copy for future reference.
