SBI Junior Associate (Clerk) Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 9,124 Posts
The State Bank of India (SBI), Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, Corporate Centre, Mumbai, has released the official recruitment notification for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre under Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2026-27/17.
This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 9,124 vacancies across 24 States and Union Territories (UTs), which includes 7,680 Regular vacancies and 1,444 Backlog vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification (As on 31.12.2026)
- Degree Required: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Integrated Dual Degree (IDD): Must ensure the passing date is on or before 31.12.2026.
- Final Year Students: Candidates in their final year/semester can apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of passing the graduation examination on or before December 31, 2026.
- Ex-Servicemen: Matriculate Ex-servicemen holding the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education (or Navy/Air Force equivalent) after completing at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces on or before 31.12.2026 are also eligible.
2. Age Limit (As on 01.04.2026)
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
- Born not earlier than 02.04.1998 and not later than 01.04.2006 (both days inclusive).
Age Relaxation:
- SC / ST: 5 Years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
- PwBD (General/EWS): 10 Years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 Years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 Years
- Ex-Servicemen / Disabled Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years (up to a max of 50 years age).
- Widows / Divorced Women (not remarried): Up to 35 years (General), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST).

Payment must be made online using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
Pay Scale & Salary
- Pay Scale: ₹24,050 – ₹64,480
- Starting Basic Pay: ₹26,730 (including two advance increments for graduates).
- Total Gross Salary: Starting total emoluments will be approximately ₹46,000 per month in metro cities like Mumbai (inclusive of DA and other allowances).
Selection Process
The selection for SBI Junior Associates consists of three stages:
- Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (Online)
- Objective test of 100 marks (1 Hour duration).
- Sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.
- Negative marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer.
- Phase-II: Main Examination (Online)
- Objective test of 200 marks (2 Hours 45 Minutes duration).
- Sections: General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude.
- Negative marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer.
- Specified Local Language Test
- Candidates who produce proof of having studied the specified local language in 10th or 12th standard mark sheets will not be subjected to a language test. Others will have to undergo a local language test before joining.
