Eligibility Criteria : SSB Odisha Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026
1. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent degree in any discipline from a recognized University, Institution, or Board.
- Candidates must possess adequate knowledge in basic Computer skills accompanied by a certificate.
2. Age Limit & Relaxations (As on 1st January 2026)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 42 years
- (Candidates must be born between 1st January 1984 and 1st January 2005).
- Upper Age Relaxation: Relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to SC, ST, SEBC, Women, and Ex-Servicemen categories.
3. Other General Criteria
- Candidates must be citizens of India and domiciles of the State of Odisha.
- Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write Odia and have passed a test in Odia equivalent to the Middle School Standard or H.S.C. standard.
SSB Odisha Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026 : Method of Selection
The selection process is partitioned into a Written Test and a subsequent Computer Skill Test:
Stage 1: Written Test (200 Marks)
- Format: Multiple-choice objective questions answered via OMR or Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Total Questions: 100
- Marking Scheme: +2 marks for every right answer; -0.50 marks for every wrong answer.
- Qualifying Marks: 40% for Unreserved candidates; 30% for SC and ST candidates.
Syllabus Distribution:
- General English (Up to Graduation Level) — 60 Marks
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs — 40 Marks
- General Mathematics (Up to HSC Standard) — 40 Marks
- Reasoning & Mental Ability — 60 Marks
Stage 2: Computer Skill Test (50 Marks)
- Candidates will be shortlisted category-wise up to two times the number of vacancies based on their written test performance.
- Duration: 1 Hour
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 20 marks across all categories.
- Testing Fields: WINDOWS operating system basics, MS Word formatting, MS Power Point presentation setup, MS Excel spreadsheet formulas, and MS Access database management.

- General / All Other Categories: ₹500/-
- SC / ST Categories: ₹200/-
- Payment Mode: Online through the designated payment gateway at the time of application submission. Fees are non-refundable and non-adjustable.

www.ssbodisha.ac.in. No physical or hard copies will be entertained. - Upload a recent passport-size photograph (taken within 15 days), a scanned copy of your full signature, and your left-hand thumb impression.
- Ensure to enter your Under-graduate (+3) degree aggregate percentage accurately using your university’s CGPA conversion formula.
- Review your entries thoroughly using the preview feature, as no edit options will be provided after final submission.
- Complete the fee payment online and download the generated application document for your records. You will need to produce it during subsequent document verification.
