Jharsuguda District Court Recruitment 2026 : Apply Offline for Clerk, Typist & Stenographer Posts

The Office of the District Judge, Jharsuguda (Odisha) has published a recruitment notification inviting applications from desirous candidates to fill up Group-‘C’ cadre posts. The available positions include Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist, Junior Typist, and Stenographer Grade-III.

Total Vacancies: 11 Posts

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational & Technical Qualifications

• For all posts: Must have passed at least a +3 examination (Bachelor’s Degree) or equivalent from a recognized University.

• Computer Skill: Must possess at least a Diploma in Computer Application (DCA) from a recognized institute.

• Language: Must be able to speak, read, and write Odia and have passed a test in Odia equivalent to the M.E. standard.

• Specific Skills:

  • Junior Typist: Minimum typewriting speed of 40 words per minute in English.

  • Stenographer Grade-III: Knowledge of shorthand with a speed of 80 words per minute and typing in English with a speed of 40 words per minute.

2. Age Limit (As on 17.06.2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years

• Maximum Age: 42 Years

• (Upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as per government rules).

3. Other Requirements

• Must have registered their name in an Employment Exchange.

• Must be of good character and sound health.

• Must have no criminal proceedings pending against them.

Jharsuguda District Court Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection will be made through a competitive examination process:

1. Written Test: * Clerk-cum-Copyist: English (100 marks), Arithmetic (100 marks), General Knowledge (100 marks).

   • Typist & Stenographer: English (100 marks – qualifying in nature).

2. Skill Test: * Typewriting Test (for Typist) / Shorthand & Typewriting Test (for Stenographer).

3. Computer Science Test (Practical): 100 marks for all posts.

4. Viva-Voce Test: 45 marks (for Clerks) / 35 marks (for Typist & Steno).

How to Apply Jharsuguda District Court Recruitment 2026

1. Download Application Form: Candidates must apply in the prescribed Format-A provided in the official notification.

2. Fill Details: Fill the application form entirely in your own handwriting and sign it.

3. Attach Documents: Enclose self-attested copies of the following:

   • Educational certificates & mark sheets (10th, +2, +3).

   • DCA Certificate.

   • Caste Certificate (if applicable).

   • Valid Employment Exchange Registration Card.

   • Certificate showing successful completion of Shorthand/Typewriting course (for Steno/Typist).

   • Two character certificates from two different Gazetted Officers/Medical Practitioners/Sarpanch.

   • Four recent passport-size photographs (one pasted, three attached).

   • Three self-addressed envelopes affixed with postage stamps of Rs. 60/- on each.
