SSB Odisha Recruitment 2026 : Apply Online for 225 Librarian Posts

The State Selection Board (SSB), Odisha has published a notification for the recruitment of Librarians (Group B, Level 9) in Non-Government Aided Colleges of Odisha. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the official website of the SSB.

• Total Vacancies: 225 Posts (Out of which 67 are reserved for women)

Category-wise Breakdown:

• Unreserved (UR): 113 (Women – 36)
• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 58 (Women – 18)
• Scheduled Caste (SC): 35 (Women – 9)
• SEBC: 19 (Women – 4) (Note: Vacancies are spread across 28 districts in Odisha. Reservations are also available for Ex-Servicemen, Sports Persons, and PwD candidates.)

SSB Odisha Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor Degree in Library Science or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
• The candidate must be able to speak, read, and write Odia and should have passed Odia as a language subject in the H.S.C Examination or equivalent.

2. Age Limit (As on 01.01.2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 42 Years (Candidate must have been born between 1st January 1984 and 1st January 2005).

Age Relaxations:

• SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Servicemen: 5 Years
• PwD (40% and more disability): 10 Years
• PwD belonging to SC/ST/SEBC: 15 Years

Application Fee

• Unreserved & All Other Categories: ₹500/-
• SC / ST / PwD Candidates: ₹200/-
• Payment Mode: Online only (through the designated payment gateway). The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection will be based solely on a Written Test.

• Total Marks: 150 Marks
• Duration: 2 Hours
• Question Format: 100 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) to be answered on an OMR sheet.
• Marking Scheme: 1.5 marks will be awarded for every correct answer, and 0.5 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer (Negative Marking).
• Qualifying Marks: 40% for Unreserved candidates and 30% for SC/ST/SEBC/PwD candidates.
• Exam Zones: Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Jeypore, and Sambalpur.
