Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2026 : Apply Online for 260 Posts 

The Indian Navy has released the official notification for the recruitment of Short Service Commission (SSC) Officers for the course commencing in January 2027 at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 260 vacancies across Executive, Education, and Technical branches. Unmarried eligible men and unmarried women candidates can apply online starting from 24th January 2026.

Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• Executive Branch (GS/Hydro/Pilot/Observer/ATC): B.E./B.Tech in any discipline with minimum 60% marks.

• Logistics: B.E./B.Tech (First Class) OR MBA (First Class) OR B.Sc/B.Com (First Class) with PG Diploma in Finance/Logistics/Supply Chain Mgt OR MCA/M.Sc (IT) (First Class).

• Education: M.Sc (Maths/Physics) OR B.E./B.Tech (Mech/Comp. Sc/Electrical/Electronics) OR M.Tech (relevant streams). Minimum 60% marks required.

• Technical Branch (Engineering/Electrical): B.E./B.Tech in relevant Engineering streams (Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, Electronics, etc.) with minimum 60% marks.

2. Age Limit (As on 01.01.2027)

• General Service (GS-X) / Hydro / Engineering / Electrical: Born between 02 Jan 2002 to 01 Jul 2007.

• ATC / Education: Born between 02 Jan 2002 to 01 Jan 2006.

• Pilot / Observer: Born between 02 Jan 2003 to 01 Jan 2008.

• Logistics: Born between 02 Jan 2002 to 01 Jun 2007.

Salary & Benefits

• Rank: Sub Lieutenant (on commissioning).

• Pay Scale: Starting Basic Pay of ₹56,100 (Level 10) + MSP.

• Gross Salary: Approximately ₹1,25,000/- per month (including allowances).

• Additional Allowances: Pilot/Observer/Submarine allowance (₹31,250/- per month) as applicable.

Selection Process

The selection procedure consists of three stages:

1. Shortlisting: Applications will be shortlisted based on normalized marks obtained in the qualifying degree.

2. SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview (5 days duration) assessing Intelligence, Personality, and Psychological traits.

3. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical examination.

4. Merit List: Final selection is based on the SSB marks, subject to medical fitness and availability of vacancies.
