The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar, is inviting eligible candidates for a walk-in interview for the position of Data Entry Operator (DEO) on a purely temporary or contractual basis. This role is part of the IRDL Mycology project within the Department of Microbiology.

• Nature of Employment: Contractual (Initial 6 months, renewable every 11 months, up to a maximum of 3 years)

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification: * Intermediate or 12th pass in the Science stream from a recognized board.

• DOEACC ‘A’ level from a recognized institute.
• 2 years of experience in EDP work in Government, Autonomous PSU, or any other recognized organization.

Technical Skill: A typing speed test of at least 15,000 key depressions per hour on a computer.

Desirable: Knowledge and working experience in Excel, Linux, etc.

Age Limit: Up to 28 years (relaxations apply for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, and ICMR re-entrenched staff as per rules).

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately entering, managing, and maintaining project-related data in electronic databases.
• Ensuring data quality and assisting in report generation.
• Maintaining stock and inventory.
• Performing duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI).

Selection Process

• Application Screening: Applications will be scrutinized by the selection committee.
• Shortlist Notification: The list of shortlisted candidates will be posted on the institute’s website by February 12, 2026.
• Interview/Test: Recruitment is based on a Physical Interview. A written test may be conducted if more than 30 candidates are shortlisted per post.
